The Laing Band Boosters

Mission
The Purpose of the Laing Band Boosters is to build and maintain a high level of enthusiasm, interest and involvement in the Laing Band Program with students, parents and the community. The Boosters lend support, both logistical and financial, to the sanctioned program of the school, assist the Band Director and school administration to insure that the program is run efficiently and opens the doors to all students interested in experiencing the musical arts.
Fundraising activities help support the purchase and repair of band instruments, equipment, instructors materials and various band activities. It is a goal of the Boosters to lower the per student band fees as able.
Parental involvement helps display our support to our children, the director, the band, and the school. The Boosters are open to all parents that want to get involved, offer ideas,volunteer, raise funds, donate and vote on the direction of the Band Booster organization. Although the Band Booster organization is run by the parents, it has been formed to work side by side with the directors. The Boosters and the director work together for the common good of the children. Support from the Laing Band Booster organization should not interfere with the band director’s approach to teaching and directing the Laing Band. If the band director finds that the support does not exist, the band director reserves the right to reformat the Band Booster organization or executive board as he or she deems necessary.
Please look at the Laing Band Booster Board of Directors Positions. Each Director works with parent involvement and help run sub committees. Please look over the different positions and committees to see where all you can lend a hand. The more parents involved the better!
